Description USS Constitution renders a 21-gun salute to the nation from her on board guns during the year's second Chief Petty Officer turnaround cruise in Boston Harbor. Two of "Old Ironsides" guns are outfitted with modern saluting batteries, which are fired twice every day at morning and evening colors. Each year, Constitution hosts approximately 300 CPO selectees for training, which includes sail handling, gun drill training and community outreach designed to enhance leadership and teamwork skills.
