| Description | the U.S. Navy fleet tug USS Takelma (ATF-113) with the submarine USS Dragonet (SS-293) on tow astern, departs San Francisco harbour, California (USA) bound for Norfolk, Virginia, circa in 1961. Dragonet had been decommissioned and placed in reserve at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard on 16 April 1946, and laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet. She was struck from the Naval Register on 1 June 1961, and scuttled in Chesapeake Bay after explosives tests on 17 September 1961. |
