Description U.S. 5th FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 26, 2015) â Ensign Emily Shrum and Gunner's Mate 1st Class Christopher Marlatt prepare the "red tomato" training target for a live fire exercise aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98). Forrest Sherman is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations as part of Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
