Description |
English: The decommissioned U.S. Navy destroyer USS Gregory (DD-802), known as "Indoctrinator", at the Fleet Training Center, Naval Station, San Diego, California (USA), on 20 December 1967, serving as a training aid for damage control, engineering, battery alignment, and many other topics. Gregory was decommissioned on 1 February 1964 and entered the reserve. She was struck from the Navy List 1 May 1966, and served as an inoperable trainer at San Diego from 20 May 1966 to 8 January 1971. The ship was grounded on San Clemente Island, California (USA), on 4 March 1971 and used as a target. |
