Description
English: Insignia of the U.S. Navy repair ship USS Hector (AR-7). This insignia was received by the U.S. Naval History Division in 1958. It features the figure of the Greek warrior HECTOR, namesake of the ship, on a blue shield. The shield also contains the Greek motto, translated: "Through Labour Comes Victory." Behind the shield are crossed hammers and swords, representing the ship's function of repairing the fighting forces.
