Yes in 1967 in Vietnam

The poster below is mistaken. The Hornet Museum in Alameda, CA clearly states Hornet was in Viet Nam in 1967. Also, my Dad was on it then.

This information is not correct. I was on the USS HORNET in 1965 on westpac station in Vietnam. Our A4 Skyhawk Jets flew missions over Vietnam. The article states Hornet was in Vietnam 1967. Not correct

Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CVS-12) underway in the Gulf of Tonkin. Hornet, with assigned Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 57 (CVSG-57), was deployed to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 27 March to 28 October 1967.
