Description

NORFOLK (March 11, 2013) Family and friends wave as the guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58) returns to homeport at Naval Station Norfolk after completing an eight-month deployment. The deployment was part of a regular rotation of forces to support maritime security operations, provide crisis response capability and increase theater security cooperation and forward naval presence in the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
