DescriptionUSS Oglala (CM-4) capsized at Pearl Harbor 1941.jpeg | View of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, during the Japanese attack on 7 December 1941. In the forground is the capsized minelayer USS Oglala (CM-4). She had been damaged by a torpedo that had actually hit the light cruiser USS Helena (CL-50), visible on the left. Helena was towed forward, while Oglala sank. On the right is the burning destoyer USS Shaw (DD-373) in floating dry dock YFD-2. USS Pennsylvania (BB-38) is visble behind USS Helena. |
