Description Damaged U.S. Navy Douglas A-4E Skyhawk fighters of Attack Carrier Air Wing 16 (CVW-16) on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CVA-34) off Vietnam on 26 October 1966, after a sailor accidentally ignited a flare in the forward hangar bay a fire erupted that killed 44 men. Visible are A-4Es of Attack Squadrons VA-163 "Saints" and VA-164 "Ghost Riders" which had been brought up from the hangar deck.
