Description

PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 8, 2016) An MH-60S Sea Hawk, assigned to the "Island Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25, transfers stores to the flight deck of the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), during a vertical replenishment-at-sea with Military Sealift Command (MSC) dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Charles Drew (T-AKE 10). The non-combatant, civilian-crewed ship operated by MSC is part of the supply lines to Navy ships at sea, which strategically provide fuel, food, ordnance, spare parts, mail and other supplies around the world. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the Philippine Sea supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
