Description U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 2, 2015) - Rear Adm. Andrew Lewis, commander of Carrier Strike Group (CSG 12), speaks with distinguished visitors on board the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). The guests visited TR as part of a CAPSTONE event to show participants carrier operations at sea. CAPSTONE is a joint military education program for officers promoted to rear admiral and brigadier general or civilians newly appointed to senior executive service. Theodore Roosevelt is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
