Description The U.S. Navy submarine USS Torsk (SS-423) participates in an anti-submarine warfare demonstration given for joint chiefs of staff guests visiting aboard the aircraft carrier USS Lake Champlain (CVS-39) on 24 February 1961, in the Atlantic. In this photo, a land-based Lockheed P2V Neptune patrol plane passes over the partially submerged Torsk.
