Description The U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LPH-10) in the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal. Following three months fitting out at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA), the ship put to sea on 6 November 1966, bound for the U.S. West Coast. She transited the Panama Canal at mid-month and arrived at her home port, San Diego, California (USA), on 22 November 1966. On deck are 15 landing craft.
