DescriptionUS Navy 021008-N-0000R-001 painting in the waterfall spray booth.jpg |
English: Cherry Point, N.C. (Oct. 8, 2002) -- David Moore, a painter at the Naval Air Systems Command’s (NAVAIRSYSCOM) aircraft maintenance depot, primes small aircraft parts in preparation for final painting in a waterfall spraying booth. Water provides a barrier to prevent paint from sticking and accumulating on the surface of the walls and flooring, while helping to suppress harmful vapors and paint spray in the air.
