English: Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (June 23, 2004) - Under the supervision of Instructor Sgt. Nick Long, U.S. Marines assigned to 1st Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST), 7th Platoon, practice hand-to-hand combat techniques. The exercise pitted Marines and Sailors with performing tasks similar to those carried out during the Marine assault of the Tarawa Atolls on Nov 20, 1943 during the Pacific Campaign of World War II.
