English: John Delaney, candidate for the Democratic nomination for US President stopped by Peterborough NH and presented his stump speech at a bagel deli with somewhere areound 20 people in attendance. Delaney is not my personal pick for the nomination, as I am one of those progressives he thinks are too fuzzy-minded to win against Tr*p.. He prides himself on his centrism and "bi-partisanship".His book outlines a coherent set of governing principles and policies. His non-medicare-for-all health plan could, in fact shelter a medicare for all plan within it, so that it might serve as a stepstone tio what the vast majority of US citizens really want and need. He is probably right that if we HAVE to have a "centrist" candidate, he would be a better strategist than Joe Biden, but I'll still work for a progressive like Bernie Sanders with as much energy as I can muster. Somehow, we need to remove Tr*p and his supporters from office, whether we replace him with somebody merely BTT (better than Tr*p) or somebody we can really agree with. |
