Description On Friday the 14th of January, U.S Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Virginia Blaser was chief guest at CURE children’s Hospital of Uganda as the hospital celebrated of 10 years of service. CURE Children's Hospital of Uganda (CCHU) in Mbale, specializes in treating the neurosurgical needs of children with an emphasis on hydrocephalus, neural tube defects, spina bifida, epilepsy and brain tumors. Over the 10 years of its existance, the hospital has treated over 45,000 children and has provided more than 8,000 life-saving surgeries.
