Summary edit

Description
English: Ugra Narasimha - This is the largest of all the idols in Hampi. It is about 22 feet tall. It is carved on single stone. The idol is said to have been built by a Brahmin in 1528 during the time of Sri Krishna Devaraya. The Idol is also called Ugra Narasimha. But it cannot be termed Ugra as there is Laxmi Idol on to of it. Hence, It should be Laxmi Narasimha.Unfortunately the Laxmi Idol has been damaged and so the idol remains popular as ugra Narasimha. Behind the idol is a huge hooded snake. Many parts of the idol remain damaged. Probable there was a temple here. But now it is an open place.Around this area are irrigated lands and orchards. Moving along this road the direction of Kamalapura on reaches the Veerabhadra temple.
