Description Der Metzgerturm, auch »Schiefer Turm von Ulm« genannt, 36 Meter hoch, wurde im Jahr 1349 als Teil der Ulmer Stadtbefestigung erbaut. »Schiefer Turm« daher: er neigt sich 2,05 Meter nach Nordwesten. Seinen Namen hat der Turm einer Anekdote nach: einige Metzger streckten ihre Wurst mit Sägespänen. Als einige Bürger den Metzgern auf die Schliche kamen, sperrten sie diese in den Turm. Beim Eintreten des Bürgermeisters und daraufhin ihre Strafe erwartend, kauerten sich die wohlbeleibten Metzger in einer Ecke zusammen. So neigte sich der Turm. Tatsächlich steht er auf einem ehem. Sumpfgebiet.
