Nach Einführung der Reichswährung bleiben gemäß Artikel 15 Nr. 3 Münzgesetz vom 09. Juli 1873 die Nominale
- 2½ Silbergroschen zum Wert von 25 Pfennig
 
- 2 Silbergroschen zum Wert von 20 Pfennig
 
- 1 Silbergroschen zum Wert von 10 Pfennig
 
- ½ Silbergroschen zum Wert von 5 Pfennig
Zahlungsmittel an Stelle der Reichsmünzen bis zur Außerkurssetzung ab 01. Juni 1876 zum gleichen Wert. Der Umtausch musste bis 31. August 1876 an den Kassen der Bundesstaaten erfolgen, die diese Münzen geprägt haben oder in deren Gebiet dieselben Zahlungsmittel sind.
