James B. Cawthon operated as Cawthon and Warren in 1885, and was active in Portland, Oregon from 1888-1889. He was also active in Victoria, B.C. in 1898. Cawthon photographed several places in Washington including Seattle, Everett, Palouse, and Spokane between 1890-1906. Cawthon is also spelled Cawthorn.
