Description
English: istorted panoramic image of the buildings, etc. at the Campus Vestfold of the University of South-Eastern Norway (Norwegian: Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge, USN), the campus site located at Bakkenteigen by the Raveien road (County Road 325) in the municipality of Horten, Norway, between the towns of Horten and Tønsberg in the county of Vestfold.
  • The former university college was established with buildings on the site in 1991. The main building was designed by the Architect Group Lille Frøen AS and opened in 2010 as part of the Vestfold University College (Høgskolen i Vestfold, HiVe) or the Bakkenteigen campus. The USN university was established in May 2018.
  • The photo was taken on an August day in 2023 and shows sports facilities and a soccer field behind and to the north of the main building. Behind, on the left side of the image, the building for Studentsamskipnaden i Sørøst-Norge (SSN) and the Vestfold and Telemark University College, Horten campus (Raveien 189, 3184 Borre) can be seen. On the right is the building for the Research Park. Behind it, there are parking spaces towards the forest and Adalstjern. By the asphalt road, there is a no-stopping sign.
  • The text on the sign on the wall of the Vestfold Innovation Park reads:

  • The campus site includes educational buildings, a cultural center, student housing, a welfare center/student union, sports buildings and fields, a swimming hall, parking spaces, and the Vestfold Innovation Park, housing various technology companies.

  • Hovedbygget er tegnet av Arkitektgruppen Lille Frøen AS og åpnet i 2010 som del av den daværende Høgskolen i Vestfold (HiVe) eller Campus Bakkenteigen. Høgskolen i Vestfold, som ble etablert på stedet med høyskolebygg i 1991, fusjonerte med Høgskolen i Telemark og Høgskolen i Buskerud til én institusjon i perioden 2014–2016 under navnet Høgskolen i Sørøst-Norge. USN ble etablert i mai 2018.
  • Bildet er tatt en augustdag i 2023 og viser idrettsanlegg og fotballbane bak og nord for hovedbygget. Bak, til venstre i bildet, sees bygget for Studentsamskipnaden i Sørøst-Norge (SSN) og Fagskolen Vestfold og Telemark, studiested Horten (Raveien 189, 3184 Borre). Til høyre er bygning for Forskningsparken. Bak er perkeringsplasser mot skogen og Adalstjern. Ved asfaltveien er et stopp-forbudt-skilt.

  • På campus-området ligger undervisningsbygg, kulturhus, studentboliger, velferdssenter/studenthus, idrettsbygg, svømmehall, sportsbaner, parkerigsplasser og Forskningsparken for blant annet teknologibedrifter.
