Summary
editDescriptionUnusual (52212052714).jpg |
English: This scene is located outside the eastern side of an impact crater and the shape of the terrain is definitely very unusual. In stark contrast, further south of here, the terrain transitions to being fairly smooth.
Daedalia Planum is a plain that is otherwise relatively featureless with small craters and evidence of past lava flows. Flows in Daedalia Planum can be as long as 180 km (111 mi). Image is less than 5 km (3 mi) across and is 255 km (159 mi) above the surface. For full images including scale bars, visit the source link. NASA/JPL-Caltech/UArizona |
