Description
English: Ursula Sophia Newell Emerson (September 27, 1806 – November 24, 1888), wife of Rev. John S. Emerson and mother of Nathaniel Bright Emerson and Joseph Swift Emerson. The Emerson's were stationed at Waialua, Oahu from 1832 to 1842, then at Lahainaluna Seminary from 1842 to 1846, and then back at Waialua from 1846 to 1864. Miniature portrait of Ursula Emerson, 1831. 6.5 cm, × 5.4 cm. (Hawaiian Mission Childrenʻ Society).
