Description
English: Commemorative plaque to Mr. Valdemar Langlet (1872-1960) Swedish journalist, famous esperantist who worked in Budapest in 1944 to rescue Jews from the Holocaust under cover of the Swedish Red Cross. The plaque is placed on the front of the scool bearing his name. (Budapest, District IV, Langlet Valdemar Street Nr 3).
Français : Plaque commémorative à M. Valdemar Langlet (1872-1960), journalist suédois, fameux experantist, qui réussit de sauver les miliers des juifs de Hongrie en 1944 sous couverture de la Croix Rouge suèdoise. La plaque est apposée sur le mur de l’école portant son nom. (3, rue Langlet Valdemar, Budapest, 4e arr.).
Magyar: Valdemar Langlet (1872-1960) a svéd Vöröskereszt égisze alatt 1944-ben Budapesten embermentő munkát végző svéd újságíró, író, eszperantista emléktáblája, a nevét viselő általános és felnőttképző iskola (jelenleg [2010]: Bródy Imre Oktatási Központ, Általános Iskola és Gimnázium is) falán, az ugyancsak róla elnevezett utcában. (Budapest, IV. ker. Langlet Valdemar utca 3.)
