Summary

edit
Description
English: Varley's Field Beneath the line of trees is a Hawthorn Hedge planted in 1984. The field has been renamed in honour of Dr Varley who left a large bequest to the Cambridge Preservation Society, removing the need to rely on crops from the field for funding. The intention now is to restore the area to typical chalk downland.
