English: Hour lines of vertical sundials,located at various latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere and, in parentheses, of the Southern Hemisphere. The origin of sundial, where its style intersects with its face is at the center of the circle. The sundial is vertical, i.e. the face of the sundial is perpendicular to the horizon and faces south in the Northern Hemisphere and north in the Southern Hemisphere.
