David Vetsch (* 7. Februar 1863; † 25. Juni 1924) war Gemeinderatsschreiber in Grabs im Kanton St. Gallen, Schweiz (Vater von Bezirksammann Jakob Vetsch, 1886-1944). Seine Eltern waren Jakob Vetsch (1818-1884) und Katharina geb. Gantenbein (1827-1905), Heirat 1855. David Vetsch wuchs im Landwirtschaftsbetrieb „Bongert“ zu Grabs, heute Bongertstrasse 2, auf und erhielt den Vornamen seines Grossvaters mütterlicherseits, David Gantenbein (1774-1847). Dieser hatte im Jahre 1807 seine Frau Katharina geb. Schlegel (1787-1862) geheiratet. - Aufnahme des Porträts im Jahre 1922 durch Friedr. Müller, Fotograph, Buchs SG.
