c/n 350. Built 1958 for South African Airways as ZS-CDX and flew with them until operating the airlines last Viscount service on 1st February 1972. Then sold to British Midland Airways (BMA) and returned to the UK as G-AZNA. Operated with BMA, including time leased to Manx Airlines, until February 1988. From July 1988 she flew with ‘Hot Air’, including a short lease to Ligacoes Aereas Regionais (LAR) in Portugal during 1988 and a longer lease to Gambia Air Shuttle between November 1988 and April 1990. By now, ‘Hot Air’ was part of British Air Ferries and they continued to fly ‘November Alpha’ until her last flight in October 1990 when she arrived at Southend for storage. In September 1992 she was dismantled and departed by road/sea to Belgium for display outside a nightclub. Fitted with wooden propellers and missing her flaps, she remains on display, although the nightclub appears to have closed. She is next to the N9 road just South of Beke, between Ghent and Waarschoot, Belgium.
