Summary edit

Description
English: Victoria Colonnade, Leamington Spa The river-facing frontage of the Victoria Terrace development by the architect William Thomas, completed 1839. The ground floor was occupied by the Victoria Baths. From the Pump Room, entered on the corner, left, visitors entered a lobby (right hand door, centre) beyond which were the baths and a tasteful garden, now the site of the Loft Theatre. Railway excursions to the seaside took business away from spas such as Leamington. By 1863 the Victoria Baths had been bought by an ironmonger. They are now a popular watering hole, the Robbins Well - a reference to the short-lived Robbins Baths, established in the first years of the 19th century.
