Description A look at the hanging glacier on Mount Victoria from Fairview Mountain. The victoria glacier feeds Lake Louise. Crazy people can venture up there and visit Abbot Pass Hut, the second highest permanently habitable structure in Canada. British Columbia is literally just over on the other side of these mountain peaks. It doesn't look like much, but we're at 9000ft on Fairview Mountain and Mount Victoria and Mount Lefroy are at 11,000ft. So, there's a difference of 2000ft between here and there in elevation. The Canadian Rockies tops out at 12,000ft at Mount Robson in BC.
