Victoria Station, Sheffield, South Yorkshire. "Pom-Pom" 64433 and EM1 26001 stand on Britain's first all-electric main line. The station is now closed, but a single line is open to Deepcar, so strictly speaking it's not disused. I thought the year was 1952, but now I think it was 1954, so that's what I've put. That would make me 12 years-of-age and a bit short in stature ...for a while at least. Someone in the know may be able to tell the year from the front of the loco. Taken with a Box Brownie. |
