Description
English: Engraving depicting the Battle of Vimeiro (1808). The two inscriptions say "The Guardian Angel of the Kingdom purges from Portugal Napoleon's Eagle and the French troops" (above), and "Victory achieved by the British and Portuguese Arms, in the place of Vimeiro, against the French, on 21 August 1808" (below).
