English: Victoria to Bury - nearly the end. This is one of British Rail's class 504 DC electric multiple units at Manchester Victoria, about to form the 09.00 service to Bury. It was the only third-rail electrified service in the Manchester area and was replaced in 1991 by the overhead-electrified Metrolink tram.
There is one later photo of this type of train in this location on the site : 675483 the following year but not in colour. |
