Description
Français : Pont "romain" d'Azay le Brûlé (79). De modestes dimensions cet ouvrage à 3 arches, sorti de terre à une date inconnue, enjambe le Chambon, affluent de la Sèvre Niortaise en rive droite.

Aujourd'hui à l'écart de la route de Cherveux mais, au cours de l'Antiquité, c'était une voie importante joignant Poitiers à l'Atlantique. Il remplace un gué ayant longtemps existé en ce lieu, aussi connu comme "chemin Chevaleret".

Le pont visible aujourd'hui, est complètement restauré au cours de l'été 1993.
