English: View from Newbridge-on-Usk bridge This photograph is taken from the centre of the bridge looking south-east across the Usk river valley towards the heights of Wentwood. The meandering river has cut a steep bluff on the right of this shot. It is a moot point whether the slumping of the river bank in the foreground is considered as fluvial or marine erosion as the bridge marks the highest tidal point on the Usk. |
