English: This image of Yesler Way was taken facing east, looking towards the Smith Tower at Second Avenue and Yesler Way. The tracks in the foreground are part of what was Railroad Avenue (now Alaskan Way), which ran along Seattle's waterfront. The brick building in the center of the frame holds several businesses, the Bedford Hotel, listed at 73 1/2 Yesler Way, and Truck Tire Company. The building is still standing as of 2018, and has been renumbered as 1 Yesler Way. Signs in image: Post Hotel; Post Cafe; Seattle Hotel; Bakery, Coffee & Cake; Hotel Yesler; Hotel, Single Rooms 50c; La Bell Restaurant; Bookshop; Bedford Hotel; Truck Tire Co.; Firestone Tires; "Dri-Kure" Vulcanizing, Repair Shop; Heffernan Engine Works

Smith Tower
1 Yesler Way, Seattle, Washington, U.S., 1916. Originally (1911) the Bedford Hotel. Reworked in 1967 as an office building, and again circa 1990 as a restaurant, Al Boccalino. For more about the building, see Summary for 1 Yesler WAY / Parcel ID 7666202594, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.
This building was later known as the Old Firehouse Market. It was gutted by fire in the 2000s, and subsequently demolished.
