Description
English: Hillman City, about four miles south of Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle, was settled in 1900. In 1909, by the time this photo was taken, both Hillman City and nearby Georgetown had been annexed by Seattle.

This 1909 photo shows a group of delivery wagons near the streetcar tracks in Hillman City's business district. Businesses in the background include a hardware store, pool hall, real estate office and drugstore.
