View of part of the Dow Corning plant located in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. Wales UK. The plant has been at the site in Barry since 1952, and is the largest plant operated by Dow Corning in Europe. The plant covers a 160 acre area, with convenient access to the Barry sea docks, and excellent rail and road links to other parts of the UK and Europe. Many of the finished products are shipped from Barry docks direct to customers in Asia, Australia and Europe. It employes approximately 600 staff at the site.
