Description

View of seas blown up by the winds of Hurricane Hazel, as seen from a U.S. Navy aircraft (probably a Lockheed P2V-5F Neptune) of Weather Reconnaissance Squadron 4 (VW-4) "Hurricane Hunters".

Note: The date given is 15 March 1955. However the 1954 and 1955 hurricane seasons began in June, March is no month for hurricanes. Hurricane Hazel developed on 5 October 1954 and dissipated ten days later, being the deadliest and costliest hurricane of the season.
