Summary
editDescriptionView south from Carn Brea beacon, West Penwith - geograph.org.uk - 51844.jpg |
English: View south from Carn Brea beacon, West Penwith. This is a view south from the northern edge of the grid square - the buildings in the middle of the photo form the settlement of Treave, with Porthcurno in the far distance. From the summit of Carn Brea about than three-quarters of the horizon is uninterrupted sea - it really does feel like the 'first and last hill'. Technical note: this image was adjusted to compensate for a horizon-tilt of 1.2 degrees. |
