Description
English: The Australian heavy cruisers HMAS Shropshire, left, and HMAS Australia (D84), right, with a U.S. Navy heavy cruiser, photographed through a ring gun sight on board the light cruiser USS Phoenix (CL-46), off Leyte on 21 October 1944. Due to the Camouflage Measure 32, Design 7d, the third heavy cruiser is most probably USS Portland (CA-33).
