Summary
editDescriptionView towards Moss Upper Lock No 49, Rochdale Canal - geograph.org.uk - 754247.jpg |
English: View towards Moss Upper Lock No 49, Rochdale Canal The mill on the immediate left is Crossfield Mill (cotton waste), and the next one on that side is Morning Side Mill (woollen), which is the owner of the chimney. Just past the lock is Albert Mill (cotton waste). The footbridge this side of the lock is a modern addition. On the right, the Royds Street Arm went off, but much of this had been filled in, by the time of the photograph, by the simple expedient of dumping rubbish into it. |
