Übersetzung der lateinischen Urkunde: Kongregation für den Gottesdienst und die Sakramentenordnung Der heiligen Adelheid, Jungfrau und Äbtissin, die die monastische Lebensweise sehr förderte, erweisen die Bonner Seelsorger und Gläubigen schon seit langer Zeit eine besondere und fortwährende Verehrung. Daher billigte der Hochwürdigste Herr, Joachim Meisner, Erzbischof von Köln, da er sich dem allgemeinen Verlangen anschließt, in feierlicher Form die Wahl der Heiligen Jungfrau und Äbtissin Adelheid zur zweiten Patronin für Bonn. Mit Schreiben vom 22. Juli 2008 bittet der Herr Erzbischof angelegentlich um Bestätigung einer derartigen Wahl und Anerkennung gemäß den Regeln zur Einsetzung von Patrozinien und nach der Regel der Instruktion für die Regionalkalender und die Eigentexte von Stundengebet und Messe (n.30). Die Kongregation für den Gottesdienst und die Sakramentenordnung gibt sodann kraft der Befugnisse, die Papst Benedikt XVI. ihr erteilt hat, unter Berücksichtigung des Dargelegten den Bitten statt und bestätigt DIE HEILIGE ADELHEID, JUNGFRAU UND ÄBTISSIN, ALS ZWEITEPATRONINDER STADT BONN mit allen Rechten und liturgischen Privilegien, die nach den Statuten daraus folgen Etwaige anderslautende Verfügungen sind widerrufen.
