Description
Español: Pintura religiosa oval, que representa a una mujer de medio cuerpo que se encuentra sentada. De cabellera larga y rizada, sostiene sobre su cabeza una corona de globo cruzado, lleva además collar y aretes de carácter muy señorial. Vestida de túnica color café y capa blanca, ambas con estrellas. Sostiene a un niño sobre sus piernas, vestido de túnica azul, quien sostiene también una corona de globo cruzado. Destaca el marco de madera tallado y cubierto en pan de oro en forma de medallón con incrustaciones de espejuelos y azulejos que lo decoran. Esta imagen de la virgen del Carmen con niño dios coronados, mirando inclinadamente desde las nubes hacia la tierra, corresponde al tema iconográfico ausente en la pintura que son las almas del purgatorio que solicitan su salvación por medio del escapulario.
