| Description | This is a large vernacular Victorian-style house, which needs some attention, located on Virginia Avenue. Roxboro was historically a thriving town, and is home to many fine houses from the late 19th Century and early 20th Century, some of which are shown here. Houses ranging from Greek Revival to vernacular Victorian to early Colonial Revival to Craftsman can be found in the town, which is architecturally rich and charming, a legacy of the textile mills that once existed. Today, many of the houses still stand around the downtown area, a legacy of that prior era and a lovely sight to behold. |
