Summary edit

Description
English: This plot is an elementary calculation of the energy expectation value, using the virial theorem, representing a homogenoeus potential function of the degree s, together with the law of the conservation of energy, for a stationary system of particles and the total energy normalized to 1. The kinetic energy is positive definite.

Licensing edit

The Virial Theroem is from Rudolf Clausius. This form of presentation is due to Heinrich Wulff, who combines it with Herrmann von Helmholtz's law of the conservation of energy. The calculation then is elementary.
