English: Of the seven Vishwa Shanti Stupas in India , the most apt place for a Peace Pagoda is Dhauligiri , Orissa .Dr. RM Mohapatra a reputed museologist and archaeologist,wrote of Kalinga war of 262 BCE “no war has ended with so successful a mission of peace for the entire war-torn humanity as the war of Kalinga.” Which better place , therefore for a Shanti Stupa ?Venerable Reverend Nichidatsu Fuji, the founding preceptor of Nippozan Myohoji named by Gandhiji as Fuji Guruji assisted in building the stupa .The Vishwa Shanti Stupa is at a distance of 7 Km from Bhubaneswar on the Bhubaneswar to Puri route
