Français : Vitesse à laquelle la traînée aérodynamique égale la traînée de roulement. Chaque courbe est dessinée pour une valeur du produit Masse du véhicule (en Kg) * son coefficient de roulement et une surface frontale de 2 m². Ainsi une berline de 1000 Kg dont les pneus produisent un coefficient de roulement de 0,006 est représentée par la courbe inférieure (produit M Ro = 6). On note que plus le Cx est mauvais et plus la vitesse d'égalité est basse. Également, plus le coefficient de roulement est fort et plus la vitesse d'égalité est forte (car la force aérodynamique a du mal à égaler le très fort produit M Ro). À cette vitesse d'égalité (et à vitesse stabilisée en palier), 10% de gain en Cx procurent 10% de gain en consommation . Au-dessus de la vitesse d'égalité, les gains en Cx sont encore plus efficace pour ce qui est de réduire la consommation.
English: Speed at which the aerodynamic drag equals the rolling drag. Each curve is drawn for a product value Vehicle mass (in Kg) * its rolling coefficient and a front surface of 2 m². Thus a 1000 Kg sedan whose tires produce a rolling coefficient of 0.006 is represented by the lower curve (product M Ro = 6). We note that the more the Cd is bad and the lower the speed of equality. Also, the higher the rolling coefficient and the greater the speed of equality (because the aerodynamic drag is struggling to match the very strong product M Ro). At this speed of equality (and at steady horizontal speed), 10% gain in Cd provides 10% gain in consumption. Above the speed of equality, Cd gains are even more effective in reducing consumption.
