Vladimir Levitt was born in Tbilissi 1934, died in Stockholm 2017. He studied violin at the Tbilissi conservatory and after his examination 1957 worked there at the opera. 1960 - 64 he studied composition at the same conservatory. 1964 he became music editor at the Moscow radio and conductor at a dramatic theatre in Moscow and 1st violinist at the Moscow symphonic orchestra; 1966 – 69 1st violinist at the Tbilissi chamber orchestra and taught violin at the Tbilissi conservatory. Since 1967 member of the Soviet composers league. 1969-72 studied at Sverdlovsk (Jekaterinenburg) Conservatory conducting opera and symphony. 1972-73 1st conductor Murisk Music theatre; 1973-79 conductor Ural Mach factory and taught onducting at the same conservatory; 1979 conductor Kazan opera; 1982 conductor Ashabad opera; 1985 conductor chamber orchestra ”Pomposa” Erevan; 1986 conductor at the conservatory's student orchestra, Erevan; 1991 moved to Israel; member of Acum, 1992 organized stroke quartett; 1994 organized the New Jerusalem Ensemble Stroke orchestra. 1998 invited to Tomsk to conduct at the Philharmonic amongst others his 6 Minitures from Jewish folklore and his Concerto Grosso Nr 3. 2002 moved to Sweden, member of FST and STIM
